
Jon Snyder earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics with a secondary emphasis in Computer Programming at Juniata College. At Juniata, Jon served as a Teaching Assistant in both Physics and Chemistry. Jon performed undergraduate physics research at Harvard University where he focused on measuring the quality factor of novel micro-scale optical resonators, and he spent his senior year internship observing binary star systems at Juniata’s Paul E. Hickes Observatory.
After graduating in 2013, Jon accepted a position at Bank of America in pursuit of a career in personal finance and investing. After excelling in his role with Bank of America, he was promoted to the bank’s Merrill Edge line of business where he had the opportunity to serve clients who ranged from novice to experienced investors. He was awarded Merrill’s Pinnacle Diamond Award for excelling at both client service and relationship deepening.
Jon then worked at Merrill’s full-service wealth management office in Towson where he assisted clients with trading, financial planning, and banking needs. Jon joined the team at Hergenroeder Financial Advisors, Inc. in February 2021 as a Wealth Advisor, where he helps with financial planning and investing. He enjoys getting to know the clients with whom he works, understanding their financial concerns, and helping to keep them on track with their investment goals. Jon’s ideals parallel the Hergenroeder team’s highly ethical approach to client servicing and disciplined wealth management.
Currently, he holds the FINRA Series 7 and Series 66 licenses with LPL Financial.
Jon lives in Towson with his fiancé, Courtney, and their mini Labradoodle, Louie.
